Gov. Fashola seems to have been rocking his bow tie for long time coming. Babatúndé Rájì Fáṣọlá; born June 28, 1963) is the thirteenth governor of Lagos State , Nigeria . As a candidate of the Action Congress party, now known as the All Progressives Congress , Fashola succeeded Bola Ahmed Tinubu , on April 14, 2007, and was sworn in on May 29, 2007. He was reelected on 26 April 2011. Lagos State University ((LASU) has been shut down indefinitely following what the school termed 'violent protest by students'. The school management shared the bulletin above announcing the indefinite closure, and asked all students to vacate the school premises until further notice. Exams have also been put off until further notice. Trouble started at the University yesterday after the VC Prof. John Obafunwa refused to re-open the registration portal for over 1200 students left to register for examinations.
