Muhammadu Buhari, seeking the position of President of Nigeria in the country's 2015 presidential election, on Monday pulled up on Twitter, using the handle @ThisIsBuhari.
The retired general's first tweets were to thank his supporters and volunteers, and all those who have supported his campaign and spread his messages through different handles. This follows his message on the day in which he spoke directly to Nigeria’s youth in the country’s major newspapers.
At the time of this report, his new Twitter account had amassed over 23.7K followers in less than six hours.
