About 12 persons suspected to be students of the Ogun State owned Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, have been reported killed when a container crush a fully loaded bus.
The occupants of the bus were mainly students of Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU, Ago Iwoye, who were said to be on their way to Lagos.
An eyewitness, Commander Tommy Hamzat , the Commander of the TRACE , Ijebu Command, told Newsmen Nigeria that the truck driver drove against traffic and the bus driver collided with the truck and killed all occupants including the
bus driver.
“I was coming from Sagamu side and saw the accident. I had to hurriedly park my car, run to the scene to see if the passengers could be rescued but unfortunately all the occupants were dead including the driver .
“The bus was facing Lagos , but I dont know where it was coming from. The driver of the truck carrying an empty container was coming from Sagamu axis but was driving against traffic and that resulted in the collision, which eventually claimed the lives of the innocent people, ” he explained.
The remains of the deceased have been taken to the mortuary at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching
Hospital , OOUTH, Sagamu.
However, the students union Govt of OOU has released a statement on the incident

We feel depressed, we feel sad and we feel the pain. We saw the brutality on our fellow OOUITES, and we felt the pain. This bad occurrence has switched us into the state of despair.
A truck conveying an empty container yesterday collided with a bus conveying our gallant brothers and sisters along Ijebu-Ode - Sagamu expressway leaving just one person alive. We sympathise with the families of the lost souls, as this is coming from a very depressed heart. The death of our brothers and sisters has caused us pain in our heart. These are Students who are going to their various homes after exams, we pray God grant them eternal rest. May the truck driver that drove against traffic never know peace in life, for he has brought this great mischief unto us.
The OOUSUG led by MALCOMZY condemns the lunatic oriented driving skills of the truck driver and we seek justice with immediate alacrity on the truck driver. Any attempt to blur the justice will bring Aluta wrath on the concerned bodies. Eventhough it can't restore the lost souls of our brothers and sisters, yet we seek 'Justice.'
We pray God put an end to such occurrences in our lives and in our midst. We rebuke any calamity amongst us IJN-Insha-Allah.
