The wife of President Muhammadu Buhari Aisha has released new official portrait.
After the inauguration of her husband, a photo was circulated online and was tagged as the official portrait of Aisha.
The wristwatch which she wore in the photo has caused a source of controversy with people making different claims about its value.
Seemingly that was not the official portrait as the presidency has released a new one.
The new photo will be used for official purposes by the presidency and its office.
It should be noted that during the electoral campaign Muhammadu Buhari said it was not mentioned in the Nigerian constitution, and there was no official role for presidents’ wives described in the main law of the country.
Aisha Buhari reacted to this statement, saying that this fact would not stop her from doing her work: participating in various charity activities, visiting orphanages, caring for society’s downtrodden and etc.
Buhari’s wife has recently denounced herself as the first lady of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. She prefered not to be addressed in this way.
