April 14 into 15 2014, 276 female
students were kidnapped from the Government Secondary School in Chibok
town, Borno State, Nigeria.
Responsibility of the Kidnapping
was being claimed by the Boko Haram, an Islamic Jihadist and terrorist
operating from the Northern part of Nigeria.
On October 17 2014, hopes were raised that about 219 girls that are remaining
might soon be released after the Nigerian army announced a truce
between Boko Haram and government forces but up till now it seems
nothing has been done.
Two-hundred-and-nineteen
schoolgirls from Chibok, are still missing, for over a year, meanwhile
Many of those seized are Christians.
June this year, Three women who
claim they were held in the same camps as some of the Chibok girls said
that some of them have been brainwashed and are now carrying out
punishments on behalf of the militants.
Today, marks the 500th day of the
Chibok girls being Kidnapped yet not found. As many are matching out
and holding rallies to call on the Government from different cities to
intervene.
The Bring Back Our Girls Family in Headquarters holds rally in hundreds everyday in this awareness.
